Sagawoolin hand-dyed wool tops are 100% Corriedale sheep's wool. The sheep's wool comes from Great Britain. The wool is dense, soft, durable, and easy to spin. When washed, the wool retains its elasticity excellently.

Corriedale sheep:

Corriedale is a New Zealand sheep breed. James Little bred it from around 1882 on the South Island, crossing Merino and Lincoln Longwool sheep. The breed was officially recognized in 1911.

The wool length is approximately 80-120mm. Micron: 25 - 30mic. Suitable for felting and needle felting, or also for crafts.

Before spinning, you can open the top by pulling it slightly, as the fibers may be clumped after dyeing. It can be spun directly from the top or by "stripping" the top into several strips and winding it into a hank.

You can spin the top either with a spinning wheel or a drop spindle.

There are slight color differences in the colorways, so I have marked them with numbers.
